What Was Found in Pop Smoke’s Autopsy Report?
As per the official death certificate, surgeons performed a left-sided thoracotomy to extract all the bullets from his chest. The cause of death, as indicated on the death certificate, is attributed to the gunshot wounds on his torso. A tweet shared below further corroborates the circumstances surrounding his passing.

What Happened With Pop Smoke?
On the fateful morning of February 19, 2020, Jackson was residing in a residence located in the Hollywood Hills of California. Around 4:30 AM, a distressing incident unfolded when five individuals, concealing their identities with hooded attire, one of them wearing a ski mask and brandishing a weapon, forcibly entered the home through a second-floor balcony.
Inside, a woman faced the horrifying threat of her life as one of the intruders held a gun to her head. A brief altercation ensued, during which the woman overheard the harrowing sound of gunshots, with Jackson being shot three times. A call from the East Coast alerted the LAPD to the invasion at the residence.
Merely six minutes after the distress call, law enforcement arrived at the scene, where they found Jackson in the house, bearing multiple gunshot wounds. He was swiftly transported via ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where medical professionals performed an emergency procedure, opening his chest on the left side. Tragically, a short while later, he was pronounced deceased.

Who Was Arrested Related to Pop Smoke’s Death?
Jackson’s affiliations with the Crips initially led the LAPD to consider the possibility that his death might have been gang-related. However, their investigation eventually shifted towards the theory that his tragic demise resulted from a botched home invasion.
It was suspected that, prior to fleeing the residence, the intruders made off with Jackson’s prized gold watch and other valuable jewelry. Legal actions have been taken against four individuals in connection with his untimely passing. Among them are two men and two teenagers who stand accused of taking the life of the emerging Brooklyn artist during the course of a robbery.
In a recorded conversation with a juvenile jail cellmate in May 2021, a 15-year-old, the youngest among the four intruders, allegedly confesses to the act of violence that claimed Jackson’s life, all for the sake of a diamond-encrusted Rolex.
According to the 15-year-old’s account, Jackson initially complied with their demands for jewelry but subsequently resisted, leading to a confrontation. During the struggle, Jackson was pistol-whipped and shot with a Beretta M92. The burglars made off with his Rolex, which was later sold for $2,000.
Corey Walker and Keandre Rodgers are both facing charges that include murder, with the additional allegation that the victim lost his life during the commission of a robbery and burglary, rendering them eligible for the death penalty.
