Tia Mowry, aged 44, and Cory Hardrict, aged 43, publicly announced the end of their marriage six months ago, and it now appears to be finalized. Court documents obtained by Us Weekly reveal that the couple “entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support.”
As per the terms of their divorce, it appears that Mowry and Hardrict will share joint custody, which was a request made by the Sister, Sister actress in her filing from October. The former couple has two children together, 11-year-old Cree and four-year-old Cairo. Mowry also requested that their premarital agreement, which disallowed spousal support, be honored.
The news of their divorce took social media users by surprise, as they had been married for 14 years at the time and seemed to have a strong relationship. They dated for six years before getting engaged in 2006 and married in 2008.
Shortly after the public disclosure of her divorce filing, Mowry issued a statement on social media.
“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness,” she wrote. “We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family, and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
Based on what’s been shared online, they have managed to maintain a positive co-parenting relationship and even celebrated Christmas together as a family.

In response to inquiries about her well-being following the dissolution of her marriage, Mowry expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of well-wishes she received from the public during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I must be honest with you; I’m deeply moved by the love and support I’ve received,” she conveyed. “I’m immensely grateful for the community and the fans that surround me.”
She went on to say, “My focus has always been on inspiring and empowering others, and the direct messages I’ve received from countless women who are going through similar experiences have been truly incredible.” She added, “I feel incredibly blessed.”
Regarding her decision to end her marriage, the actress from “The Game” explained that a pivotal moment came when she realized the importance of her own happiness. She noted that women often prioritize the happiness of others above their own.
“But in the end, it’s about self-love. When you truly invest in yourself, love yourself, understand your value and your worth, something transformative happens. It’s not an easy journey,” she emphasized. “It’s a challenging path, but ultimately, I believe it’s absolutely worth it.”
