Paige Pringle Obituary: What Happened to Paige Pringle?
Early on Wednesday morning, there was a terrible accident near 1403 Hendricks Ave. Shots were fired. At about 1:43 a.m., a gunman started fire on a white SUV where Paige Pringle and another woman, who were both victims, were sitting. Officers ran to the scene when they heard there had been a shooting and maybe a car accident with victims.

When police arrived, they found Paige Pringle, who was between 28 and 32 years old, inside the SUV with multiple gunshot wounds. Sad to say, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The second woman, who was between 50 and 55 years old, was also found near the SUV with gunshot wounds. Even though she was taken to a nearby hospital, she died from her injuries.

Sergeant Rudlaff of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) said that after the SUV driver was shot, he started to roll, which caused him to hit a moving train. Based on what JSO has found so far, the driver stopped at a railroad crossing to let a train pass, but was then shot at.
Because of what happened, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, CSX, and East Coast Railway are working together to deal with the problem as a whole. As the police work hard to find out what happened, they are trying to get their hands on any video security footage from the area.
Community Response and Ongoing Investigation
Because of this terrible accident, the whole train crossing in the area is being looked into. People who live nearby should stay away from Hendricks Avenue between Nira and Cedar Streets. Law enforcement wants anyone who knows something about what happened to call the non-emergency line at the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
The deaths of Paige Pringle and the other person show how fragile life is and how important it is to stick together and help each other when bad things happen. As the investigation goes on, the community comes together to show support for the families and remember those who died in this terrible event.
