What Happened To Rob Montalbano?

Rob Montalbano’s life ended too soon in a terrible boating accident near Austin, Texas. The accident happened on Lake Travis near Point Venture. A boat and a jet ski ran into each other. One person died in the accident, and five other people were hurt. The accident happened around 3 p.m. on a Sunday, which was confirmed by the police.

The people who were hurt were quickly taken to hospitals to get care. Even though a lot was done to try to save the life of one person, it was not possible. One of the hurt people could have had serious injuries, and another needed CPR. The rest of the people who were hurt were taken to nearby hospitals to be checked out and treated, but their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Our hearts are broken as we share the tragic news of the sudden passing of our beloved friend and family member Robert Montalbano. Anyone that knew Rob would say he was a loyal friend, devoted father. brother, loving husband, and caring son who had a unique way of making people laugh all of the time.

On Sunday, August 13, 2023, while at a work retreat in Austin, Texas, Rob’s life was cut short way too soon. He was enjoying a day with colleagues on Lake Travis, when the pontoon boat that he was aboard was struck abruptly by a personal watercraft.

Rob spent his life as a public servant spending 25 years with the Juvenile Justice Commission before retiring to follow his passion in real estate. Rob successfully joined Keller Williams Realty and quickly became a top seller. Rob used his superior people skills, humor, charisma and drive for success to jump-start his second career. He was seen as a mentor during both his time with the JJC and with Keller Williams.

Although extremely successful in his professional career, Rob’s true passion in life was his family. When not coaching his son Nick’s travel baseball team, The Northern Burlington Bulldogs, Rob loved spending time with his wife Renee, and daughter Nina. They spent winters skiing and summers at the beach.

Rob will also be sorely missed by his many nieces and nephews, as well as the countless number of people’s lives he touched.

These funds will be used to help cover the expenses of bringing Rob back home to his family, and to assist the family in covering the cost associated with his funeral.
