UPDATE: What Happened to Thorpe Barrera? Humboldt Neighborhood Homicide Victim Identified- Edilior Thorpe Barrera V, who was 34 years old, was killed on August 28 in the Humboldt Neighborhood. His family has been told that he has died, and they have given us this picture to share with the world.

The medical inspector has confirmed that the person who died was killed with a gun.

The man who was caught and charged with murder is thought to have killed this person in the Humboldt Neighborhood.

Detectives from Portland’s Homicide Unit went to the spot and at first held Issac W. Henderson, who was 19, and another person. Since then, the second person has been set free. Henderson has been taken to the Multnomah County Detention Center and charged with Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

There are still detectives at the spot. The part of North Vancouver Avenue between North Sumner Street and North Webster Street is still closed.

Humboldt Neighborhood Homicide Victim Identified

At 1:23 a.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023, police from the North Precinct were called to the 5100 block of North Vancouver Avenue because someone had been shot. When the police got there, they found a dead man.

North Vancouver Avenue will be closed from North Sumner Street to North Webster Street while the probe is going on.

After the Medical Examiner has confirmed the cause of death and the victim’s family has been told, the victim’s name will be made public. The PIO isn’t reacting to what’s going on. When it’s time, more information will be given out.
